Nafa-Khum
Engfakhong Bangafakhong (native Marma word) or Nafa-Khum for people without nasal noises (Bengali: নাফখুম) is a waterfall in Bangladesh on the banks of the Remekhring / Sangu River. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the country in terms of water loss. The wild mountain Remaikri River suddenly descends about 25-30 feet here.
In the native Marma language, the word nagfa (ngafa) means fish/dwarf gunch of Baghai, and “Khong” means “ground”. A special kind of flying fish, whose local name is drunk, is seen swimming against the current in a small cave at the bottom but they cannot jump to the height of the fall.

Nafakhum Falls (Bengali: নাফখুম) is located on the banks of the Sangu River in Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the country in terms of water loss. The wild mountain river Sangu suddenly descends about 25-30 feet here.
The waterfall is located in a remote area within a three-hour walk from Remakri, Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban district. Remakri is found three hours by pontoon from the banks of the Sangu River, which is itself three hours by vessel from Thanchi. Nafa-Khum isn’t extremely mainstream as a visitor goal.

How To Go?
Dhaka is connected to Dhaka and Bandarban by road. There is a direct bus service from Dhaka to Bandarban. After reaching Bandarban, you have to take a bus from Bandarban to Thanchiopazila.
To reach Amaikum Falls you have to go from Bandarban to Thanchi by “Chandragari” (public jeep) or a private vehicle. The distance from Bandarban to Thanchi is about 799 km.
